Petite Sirah

Petite Sirah

Overall Impression:

Petite Sirah has a muddy heritage that leads to France but to no clear parentage. This black grape variety produces dark, tannic and well balanced wines. Petite Sirah has been used to blend with more popular reds when increased color or tannins are desired. California, Argentina, and Mexico all have significant plantings of Petite Sirah.
