Baco Noir

Baco Noir

Overall Impression:

A French hybrid resulting from a cross between Folle Blanche and Vitis riparia bred by French nurseryman François Baco. This variety was at one time grown in France in many regions, but is now mainly cultivated in eastern Canada and the northeastern United States. Creates wines with intense color and fruit. Produces nouveau reds that are fruity, rustic, sometimes spicy and complex.
