Liebfraumilch Type

Liebfraumilch Type

Overall Impression:

Liebfraumilch originates in Germany in the Rheinhessen, Pfalz, Nahe, and Rheingau regions.

Liebfraumilch must have at least 18g/l residual sugar. Müller-Thurgau usually is the dominant grape variety but Riesling, Silvaner, and Kerner grapes are usually present as well. Leibfraumilch is typically quite sweet, low in alcohol content, and mild. Most Liebfraumilch is made for export out of Germany.
