French hybrid also known as Seibel 5279. This variety is a cross between Seibel 788 and Seibel 29.
An early ripening variety which is well suited to colder climates. Aurore is suseptable to rot and splitting at harvest and tends to make undistinguished wines. Aurore was once widely planted across the Northeastern US and Minnesota.
