Our newest exclusive release of Global Lagers for the autumn months covers the gamut of lager styles being brewed and celebrated around the world this time of year. 2575-PC Kölsch II from Germany produces a rich flavor profile and its proven versatility is suitable for a range of fermentation conditions. For international and American lager styles, 2272-PC North American Lager provides mild maltiness and a medium ester profile for thirst-quenching, ice cold beers. 2487-PC Hella Bock Lager – direct from the Austrian Alps – will create the rich, full-bodied, and malty complex profile sought after in your Munich Helles, Märzen, bock-style lagers, and more.

2575-PC Kӧlsch II

Beer Styles: Kölsch, Altbier, International Amber Lager, Festbier
Profile: This strain has a rich flavor profile which accentuates a soft malt finish. It has low to no detectable diacetyl production and will also ferment well at colder temperatures for fast lager type beers.
Apparent ABV Tolerance: 10%
Flocculation: Low
Apparent Attenuation: 73-77%
Temperature Range: 55-70 °F (13-21 °C)

Species: Saccharomyces cerevisiae


2272-PC North American Lager

Beer Styles: German Pils, Czech Premium Pale Lager, Pre-Prohibition Lager, Munich Helles, German Helles Exportbier
Profile: A traditional culture of North American and Canadian lagers, light pilsners, and adjunct beers. Mildly malty profile, medium ester profile, well balanced. Malty finish.
Apparent ABV Tolerance: 9%
Flocculation: High
Apparent Attenuation: 70-76%
Temperature Range: 52-58 °F (11-14 °C)

Species: Saccharomyces pastorianus


2487-PC Hella Bock Lager

Beer Styles: Munich Helles, Festbier, Märzen, Munich Dunkel, Schwarzbier, Helles Bock, Dunkles Bock, Doppelbock, Eisbock
Profile: This strain will produce rich, full-bodied and malty beers with a complex flavor profile and a great mouth feel. Attenuates well while still leaving plenty of malt character and body. Beers fermented with this strain will benefit from a temperature rise for a diacetyl rest at the end of primary fermentation.
Apparent ABV Tolerance: 12%
Flocculation: Medium
Apparent Attenuation: 70-74%
Temperature Range: 48-56 °F (9-13 °C)
