Overall Impression:

Nigori, meaning “cloudy”, is a style commonly referred to as unfiltered saké. This appearance develops from the rice solids that remain unfermented due to using a less-polished grain. Appearance can range from barely cloudy (usunigori) to rich, chewy versions that create a creamy, sweet beverage. These rustic sakés are best served chilled.
