Wyeast yeast extract for use as a bionutrient. It is an excellent source of peptides, free amino nitrogen, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Being an excellent source of protein, yeast extract can be used in microbiological media recipes, yeast propagation, and ML fermentations in wine.
Dosage Rate: 0.5 – 1.0 lb/1000 gal (6 -12 g/hL)
Supplies 11 ppm YAN at 1.0 per 1000 gallons
Usage: For brewing yeast propagation, Wyeast Yeast Extract can be added at the kettle by previously dissolving it in water to avoid clumps.
Stability/Shelf Life: Use product by the Best if Used By date on the package. This product is hydroscopic and storage under cool, dry conditions is recommended. Packages should not be in direct contact with floors or walls.
