Valpolicella Type Blends

Overall Impression:

A blended red wine from the Veneto region in north east Italy.

Valpolicella is a blend of Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella. Corvina tends to be the largest component and gives the most character. Quality varies widely as do vinification techniques. Standard Valpolicella may have an alcohol content of as low as 11% while Valpolicella Superiore must be at least 12% and must be aged for at least one year.
