Lambrusco Type

Overall Impression:

The various styles of Lambrusco originate in Emilia, primarily in the provinces of Modena, Parma, and Reggio nell’Emilia.

Lambrusco is a highly carbonated, fruity red wine. There are several different types of Lambrusco ranging from dry and tart to full and slightly sweet. Most modern Lambrusco is produced using the Charmat method, however there are some small artisan Lambrusco producers who are still making is the old fashioned way.
