De Chaunac

De Chaunac

Overall Impression:

A French hybrid that grows well in colder northern climates. This vine is heavy yielding and needs to be cluster thinned. De Chaunac grapes produce heavily pigmented wines that give black cherry and plumb notes but can be very neutral and non-descript. Good acid with low tannins. Age in oak to add character and structure to what can otherwise be a very neutral wine.
